About Missouri Patriot Paws

Since 2013, Missouri Patriot Paws has been driven by a focused and heartfelt mission: to support the heroes who serve and protect our Missouri communities. As a nonprofit service dog organization, we are dedicated to providing life-changing assistance to military veterans, law enforcement personnel, EMS personnel, dispatchers, and firefighters who may be navigating the challenges of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Our purpose is to give back to those who have given so much for us. Our process is thorough and built on creating lasting bonds. It begins with rescuing suitable dogs from local animal shelters whenever possible, giving them a new mission. Our trainers then work closely with each hero to find the perfect canine match for their specific needs. The individual and their new partner work with our qualified trainers until they are ready to become a certified team. We also place dual-trained professional therapy dogs in firehouses or with nonprofit organizations that support our heroes. The ultimate goal of our mission is to facilitate healing. Through the incredible partnership with one of our service dogs, we aim to help veterans and first responders improve their well-being, adjust to civilian life with greater confidence, and build self-esteem for a more productive future.
